Roham is an investor with a strong technical and entrepreneurial background. Based in San Francisco, Roham has worked with technology startups through Newbury Ventures, a technology-focused venture fund with over $300MM invested capital. At Newbury, Roham specialized in deal flow generation as well as technical due diligence, market analysis, and post-investment portfolio managment.

Since 2009, Roham has served with TechWadi, a Silicon Valley-based non-profit working to promote entrepreneurship in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As Program Director, he helped drive the organization’s restructuring to reach out to high-impact entrepreneurs and focus on mentorship initiatives across the MENA region.

Roham is an active angel investor in Silicon Valley and advisor to several startup companies, both pre- and post-funding. A seasoned technologist, his expertise is focused on product development, user acquisition, and strategic defensibility. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Books.com.eg, the Arab world’s leading ecommerce retailer specialized in books.

Prior to finding his calling in the world of venture capital, Roham traveled a diverse path crossing between IT, biology, finance, and sales. He has worked as a financial analyst in a private wealth fund, a researcher within a Stanford biology lab, a sales manager for a regional industrial gases trading firm, and IT assistant for Stanford’s largest internal organization. Roham holds a B.A. in Economics and dual B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
